The ability to bend, but not break, during hard times is a skill that can be learned and applied by recognizing and cultivating our sources of strength and motivation.
Artists have much to teach us about enduring during difficult times, and the value of creativity and imagination when all hope seems lost. Arts-based activities are enjoyable, approachable, and often deceptively simple ways of learning from our own experiences in service of greater clarity and purpose. The arts weave together metaphor and symbolism that provide both a means of unique individual expression, and a recognition of our shared humanity.
